We secure the availability of cultural heritage published in Finland or relating to Finland as well as transmit and produce information content for research, studies, citizens and the society.
We develop services in cooperation with libraries, archives, museums and other operators.
A critical edition of the previously unpublished early version of Jean Sibelius’ Fifth Symphony (1915) has been published in the National Library of Finland’s series of collected works by Jean Sibelius (JSW). This newly published volume (JSW I/6a) is the 39th to appear in the series of Sibelius’s collected works, which will eventually comprise approximately 60 volumes.
