The Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany has been the foundation of German democracy for 75 years. The foyer presentation “This is us! 75 years of Basic Law. A publication history” is devoted to the basic law of our constitutional state, one key element of which is the protection of freedom of expression from extremist dissension.

Tuesday, 21 May 2024 sees the grand opening of the Palace of the Republic on Krasiński Square in the Polish capital, Warsaw. The palace will house a permanent exhibition of most valuable objects from the collection of the National library of Poland.

Timeless Archives, Timely Connections: Preserving Endangered Documentary Heritage and Inspiring Collaboration is a conference to be held on 31 October – 1 November 2024, organised by the Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) and the British Library’s International Office. This will be a hybrid conference to be held at the British Library, London and online.
