New general director in National Library of North Macedonia

 

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia has appointed Mr. Rahmetula Kuqi as new director at St. Clement of Ohrid National and University Library – Skopje.
Mr. Kuqi graduated from the South East European University in Tetovo with a master’s degree in public administration and political science and a bachelor’s degree in law. From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a deputy director at the Public Revenue Office. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as an instructor/assistant at the Faculty of Economics at the State University of Tetovo. In 2011 he was appointed as Secretary at the Municipality of Tetovo where he served until 2013, later heading the Unit for Local Self-government at the Municipality of Tetovo. Between 2015 and 2022 he was engaged in projects related to video production and film production (“The Last Cowboy” – 2021, “Prokult 2020” – 2020, “Ana’s Day” – 2016, “Old Dilemma New Era” – 2015 and others).
Mr. Kuqi is very interested in expanding international cooperation, collaborating on new joint projects, and expressing a strong desire to modernize and improve the library’s reputation.
