On 18 and 19 October 2026, the CENL Executive Committee (EC) convened for its meeting in Prague. Tomas Foltyn, Director General of the National Library of the Czech Republic, warmly invited the group to the beautiful setting of his institution. A special highlight of the visit was the opportunity to explore the library’s remarkable Baroque reading room — a truly inspiring space, though only a small part of the library was accessible.

The business discussions covered both the ongoing work of the CENL network and future developments — from funding opportunities and bursaries to CENL’s plans for 2027, when the Annual General Meeting will be hosted by the National Library of Sweden in Stockholm and will celebrate CENL’s 40th anniversary.
