The National Library of Liechtenstein in Vaduz hosted the bilingual reading “Early Planting, Sunday Bells” featuring authors Anna Kove (Albania) and Anna Ospelt (Liechtenstein).

In her welcome address, Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni praised the work of Traduki, the European translation network that has enriched Liechtenstein since 2012 and continues to build bridges between languages, cultures, and people.

Library Director Daniel Quaderer highlighted the National Library’s role as a place of vi-brant interaction: “The National Library is not merely a space for books, but a meeting place for exchange, learning, and shared responsibility. As a centre of knowledge, it is our task to build bridges and create an environment where ideas and experiences can be shared.”

In conversation with Austrian writer Andrea Grill, the two authors from Liechtenstein and Albania discussed language, translation, and the subtle nuances of literary connection, about carrying words between worlds and discovering new realms of sound.

With events such as this, the National Library of Liechtenstein strengthens its role as guardian of cultural heritage and active player in the European literary and cultural sphere.
