In 2026, the Liechtenstein National Library will place bestselling author Paul Gallico (including the author of Ludmila and Snowflake) at the centre of its public outreach and cultural programming. The occasion is the 50th anniversary of his death on 15 July 2026.

The American writer Paul Gallico (1897–1976), one of the most versatile storytellers of the 20th century, lived in Liechtenstein for several years. A diverse program of events in autumn 2026 will accompany the commemorative year. Planned activities include the publication of a commemorative brochure and a film series featuring selected screen adaptations of his many books.
