The leading professional conference of librarians in Serbia – Biblionet – this year dealt with the topic of digital marketing in libraries.

In a world where user attention is becoming the most precious currency, libraries face the challenge of how to remain visible and relevant.

Digital marketing is no longer just an option, but a necessary tool for connecting with the community, promoting materials, and preserving the library’s role in the digital ecosystem.

The conference aims to bring together experts in the fields of librarianship, information science, and marketing to explore contemporary communication strategies applicable to the field of librarianship.

Over 160 librarians participated in the conference.

The guests of the conference were Helen Mandl, Deputy Secretary General of IFLA, and Andrew Cranfield, Director of Eblida.

Nora McGregor from the British Library also participated in the conference, as well as colleagues from Rijeka city library, Niko Cvjetkovic and Kristijan Benic.
