A major milestone in the National Library of Scotland’s Centenary programme in 2025, ‘Dear Library’ is a love letter to libraries. It features contributions from library partners, members of the public and VIPs which together celebrate the value of libraries to their communities.

Running to April 2026, the exhibition is named ‘Dear Library’ after a poem by national poet Jackie Kay, whose literary archive was acquired by the Library last year.

Feedback has been very positive since the opening on 19 June, including from our very own CENL delegates during their AGM visit!
