National Library of Estonia is the Most Desired Employer among Humanities Students in Estonia

The Estonian Employer Branding Agency Instar, which is a member of the European Association of Employer Branding Agencies, organises every September an Attractive Employers event, where the results of the year’s largest employment expectations survey are presented. This year’s 16th Attractive Employers Day took place at the newly renovated National Library of Estonia. Fresh survey results were introduced, and honorary diplomas were awarded to Estonia’s most attractive employers.

The event was attended by nearly 140 representatives from both the public and private sectors and received wide media coverage. The event’s partner was the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The annual survey of job expectations and employer attractiveness has been conducted since 2010, involving university students, medical students, vocational school students, and experienced employees. Student preferences are further divided into subcategories based on their field of study.

The National Library of Estonia has ranked in the top ten in the humanities student category for the past two years, but this time we achieved first place in the same category. In total, humanities students had the opportunity to choose from 296 companies and organisations (including not only memory institutions but also larger state institutions and private enterprises).

The results have certainly been supported by the increased public attention related to the final phase of their building’s reconstruction, but also by their own consistent and persistent daily efforts to ensure that their work and the achievement of results are enjoyable for those involved, that the working atmosphere remains positive and forward-looking, and that interpersonal relationships are excellent – all of which is also reflected in their external image.
