V.Vernadsky National library of Ukraine is the largest library of the state. It houses 15,833,167 items, it offers an international inter-library loan, grants access to an online union catalogue and bibliographic databases. The libraries priceless collection of old and rare manuscripts includes the “Assyrian-Babylonian book list” from the 3d century B.C. The Library also owns one of two existing copies of the “History of Animals” by Aristotle published in Venice in 1476.
