At the National and University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid” we celebrated the strength, beauty, and inspiration of women through the exhibition The Beautiful Women of Our Nation by the Macedonian artist Slavco Maksimovski edition 2.

The exhibition presents portraits of remarkable Macedonian women—musicians, ballerinas, politicians, actresses, professors, and everyday women whose stories shape our society. Through art and books, the Library honoured the many roles women hold and the inspiration they bring to future generations.

During the opening, Director Jovica Nikchevski delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting not only as a cultural leader but also as a father of a daughter. He spoke about the courage, dignity, and self-respect every woman should carry, reminding us that empowering women means building a stronger and more compassionate society.
