It was a great honour for the National and University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid ” in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia to host the very first Conference on Cultural Heritage – Innovations, Sustainability and Legal framework for Preservation and Engagement inviting experts and professionals from across the globe.

The conference provided a unique platform to discuss the richness of cultural heritage and explore innovative approaches to its preservation, promotion, and accessibility. The exchange of knowledge and ideas created a truly inspiring atmosphere and strengthened the ties between libraries, cultural institutions, and researchers.
They extend their heartfelt gratitude to their colleagues and partners from the National Library of Armenia, National Library of Azerbaijan, National Library of Bulgaria, The British Library, National Library of Greece, National and University library of Slovenia, National Library of Poland, National Library of Latvia, National library of Ireland, National Library of Sweden, The Vatican Library, National Library of the Netherlands, National Library of Türkiye and the National library of Spain. Their presence, contributions, and support made this event a remarkable success.
This gathering was not only about dialogue and collaboration, but also about building a strong network for the future. The library looks forward with great enthusiasm to continuing these conversations and to organising more such conferences in the years to come — for the benefit of libraries, cultural institutions, and communities worldwide.
