In 2025, the National Library of Luxembourg continued its development through a number of major initiatives, including improvements to user spaces and services, the redesign of the eluxemburgensia.lu portal, enhanced web archiving and digital preservation capacities, and a range of cultural outreach projects.
A study conducted among more than 2,000 participants also confirmed the BnL’s strong economic, social and cultural value: for every euro invested, it generates €3.34 in value for Luxembourg’s knowledge society. With a satisfaction rate of 96%, the findings further highlight the BnL’s strategic role in research, culture and heritage, while reinforcing its commitment to digital development, artificial intelligence and accessibility.
