To mark the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European Commission Representation in Ireland and the European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland have commissioned Europe’s Minstrel – a special concert celebrating the life and work of Irish poet and lyricist Thomas Moore.

Programmed by acclaimed musician Dearbhla Collins, the concert brings Moore’s songs to life through performances by some of Ireland’s finest singers and musicians.

The concert aired on RTÉ lyric fm on 11 July at 8pm, preceded by a one-hour documentary exploring the life and legacy of one of Ireland’s most beloved literary figures.
