On 14 January 2023, the museum of the BnF has unveilled a second selection of treasures, including Christopher Columbus’s Epistola de insulis de novo repertis from 1494, Dürer’s famous Rhinoceros (1515), the first edition of Rouget de Lisle’s Marche des Marseillois (1792), the Plan of the Battle of Austerlitz (ca. 1805), the autograph manuscript of Chopin’s Waltz op. 6, prints by Gauguin and Mary Cassatt, or photographs by Cartier-Bresson to name but a few.
