Taner Beyoğlu, Director-General of Libraries and Publications in Türkiye, was elected as Vice-Chair of CDNL (Conference of Directors of National Libraries) on 5 June 2025.
With his new position, he is committed to serving all CDNL members globally with a strong focus on strengthening engagement, fostering international collaboration, and ensuring effective and inclusive communication. He is also determined to work to foster a more connected, representative, and responsive CDNL community – not only for national libraries, but for the future of global knowledge sharing.
Furthermore, considering goals and principles of CDNL, the strategic location of Türkiye and its cultural bridge role may significantly contribute to building new connections and deepening mutual understanding between diverse library traditions and regions.
