The South-East European National Libraries (SEENL) network held its latest meeting on 30 September 2025 in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, bringing together directors and representatives from national libraries across the region, including Türkiye, Greece, Bulgaria, and Kosovo.
The meeting focused on advancing a Regional Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in libraries, exploring how new technologies can enhance access to knowledge, improve services, and support innovation. Members shared updates on their ongoing national initiatives, exchanged experiences, and discussed opportunities for joint capacity building and expertise sharing.
Looking ahead, the National Library of Kosovo kindly offered to host the 2026 SEENL Meeting in late September 2026.
To strengthen cooperation and regular communication, SEENL members agreed to activate the network’s official website and organise regular virtual meetings to exchange news and progress on shared goals.
SEENL remains committed to promoting regional collaboration, digital transformation, and sustainable knowledge exchange among the national libraries of South-East Europe.
The meeting was hosted by the National and University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid” – Skopje, reaffirming its leadership in fostering dialogue and partnership across the region’s library community.
