Exhibition “The invention of the Renaissance – The Humanist, the Prince and the Artist”

Between the 14th and 16th centuries, Europe experienced an unprecedented intellectual, artistic and scientific revival. Later known as “humanism”, a new culture was invented, marked by a new relationship with knowledge and a return to Greco-Latin sources. The BnF is hosting an exhibition devoted to this movement, featuring over 240 pieces – manuscripts, printed books, prints, drawings, sculptures, coins, etc. – that take visitors deep into the world of the Renaissance humanists.
