The National Library of Serbia is the country’s national, central, parent, research and general scientific library, as well as a reference centre for scientific information, centre of the library information system, centre for preservation and conservation of books, a publishing house and a cultural centre.

Ever since its establishment, the National Library of Serbia has worked relentlessly on the preservation of the cultural heritage of Serbia, while also providing access to knowledge and information, firmly believing that the development, diversity and richness of the culture and education of a society represents the foundations for its general progress and vitality.
