The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a singular opportunity for the directors of Europe’s national libraries to convene, exchange ideas, collaborate, and share experiences. It is an integral part of the CENL, where we also fulfil our legal obligations.
In a few months, CENL members will gather in Luxembourg, graciously hosted by the National Library of Luxembourg. The Kungliga Biblioteket, the National Library of Sweden, has already been chosen to host the 2027 AGM. Now, we are looking ahead to find a host for 2028.
Hosting the AGM entails organizing a cultural program on Sunday with visits to local heritage sites, followed by a full-day meeting on Monday with a gala dinner in the evening, and a half-day session on Tuesday morning with an optional visit to the host institution in the afternoon.
If you would like to welcome the directors of Europe’s National Libraries to your library in 2028, please express your interest by completing the application form.
Please be aware that all applications will be evaluated and presented to the Executive Committee, which will decide on the host for 2028.
We look forward to receiving your application. Please answer all questions in the application form and send it to cenl@dnb.de by 31 March 2026.
