Exhibition “ Louise Bourgeois. Extreme Tension”

A leading figure in contemporary art, Louise Bourgeois (1911–2010) developed her body of work on the fringes of the major movements that shaped the 20th century — Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism… — cultivating a deeply personal artistic language that continues to exert a profound influence on many artists.

This exhibition brings together, for the first time, the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Centre Pompidou. It is also the first exhibition dedicated to the artist at a public institution in Paris since 2008.

From 20th October 2026 to 21st February 2027
