DNBlab: Access to data sets and digital objects

FREE DIGITAL COLLECTIONS

The German National Library offers its bibliographic data and several digital object collections freely accessible. As a central point of contact for the presentation, access and reuse of digital resources, the DNBLab offers access to our data, object files and full texts. You can access it via various interfaces and downloads.

In addition to the total deductions of title and authority data regularly updated within the framework of the metadata services, the DNB provides thematic data sets.

They offer two different interfaces via OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting).
Information about the OAI interface offered as part of the metadata services can be found at https://www.dnb.de/oai.
Our OAI2 interface allows registration-free request of metadata and links to image files of public domain digital copies. The base URL https://services.dnb.de/oai2/repository must be replaced by keyword arguments with “? verb=”” can be supplemented.

For further information on the SRU interface, tutorials and data sets, please visit the DNBLAB.
