The Slovak National Library invites you to the 2nd year of the international conference Craft and a book focusing on :
• conservation and restoration interventions,
• reversibility versus permanent treatment,
• multidisciplinary cooperation,
• research and new technologies in the field of restoration and preservation,
• accessibility and use issues written cultural heritage.
The conference will take place on the premises of SNK 31 March – 02 April 2020 and is primarily intended for professionals and the professional public. Students of secondary and higher education from the fields of restoration and conservation, technology of restoration and conservation, research and related fields are also welcome. Thematically, the conference is suitable for librarians, archives, but also for experts from museums and galleries, private restorers and students dealing with library and archival documents (books, papers, photographs, maps, graphics as well as other materials from deposits).

Digital Library and Digital Archive – the Slovak National Library project of digitization of the Slovak written cultural heritage. Document presents the whole process of digitization from the document selection from the deposit of SNL, digitization and preservation processes, content management to the return of the document to the deposit.
