Cooperation between the National Libraries of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia

A meeting of representatives of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the National and University Library in Zagreb was held via ZOOM. The meeting was attended by dr. Ismet Ovčina, director of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with his colleagues and prof. dr. Ivanka Stričević, director general of the National and University Library in Zagreb with her colleagues.
They discussed cooperation between these two national libraries, the importance of reviving international cooperation on new European projects, and possible cooperation with national libraries in the region in the form of promotions of new editions. The importance of investing in the application of modern protocols for the exchange of bibliographic records was highlighted in order to encourage cooperation between the National and University Library in Zagreb and the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Emphasis is placed on the exchange of knowledge and experience, participation in international projects and programs, and the exchange of publications. The purpose of this meeting is to strengthen cooperation and promote the role of national libraries that preserve valuable cultural heritage.
