The National Library of Greece participated in the proceedings of the 31st Panhellenic Conference of Academic Libraries

The National Library of Greece (NLG) participated in the proceedings of the 31st Panhellenic Conference of Academic Libraries titled “Academic Prosperity, Freedom, and Integrity: From AB to AI”, which took place in Ioannina from 22-24 October 2025.

The Conference aimed to explore and promote the practices of academic libraries and to shape an environment that incorporates contemporary technology, whilst maintaining the basic principles of prosperity, freedom, and integrity within academia.

The Director General of the NLG, Dr Chrysa Nikolaou, delivered an address and participated as an invited speaker, presenting on “Beyond the Shelves: The National Library of Greece in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”.

Employees of the NLG Catalogues Department, Afroditi Fragkou and Angeliki Bamnioti also gave presentations at the conference, showcasing the good practices followed by the library, while staff from various departments attended the conference proceedings.
