The National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina published a new Manual “Library Classification Systems: Manual for the Classification”, prepared by M.Sc. Biljana Zarić.
This manual resulted from the need for literature that will be used for professional library exams in the field of classification. Briefly presenting the most well-known classification systems, the manual aims to help not only candidates preparing for state exams but also to provide useful information to other librarians.
An important part of the manual is devoted to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), which is used in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world. Special emphasis in the manual is given to the most famous classification systems.
