The National Library of Latvia (NLL) has embarked on a new stage of its development by approving its strategic vision for the next five years. The main priority of the NLL are people, seeing itself as an ally to everyone in the process of learning, research, self-education and creativity. Developing its activities in four main directions, the NLL will devote all its efforts to become a habit, foundation and value in the life of every Latvian citizen. Today, the NLL’s Development and Operational Strategy has become the main instrument for the implementation of its mission – to ease and advance education and growth of the Latvian society, strengthening the independence and democracy in Latvia.
