National Széchényi Library at the V4 international conference

On 23 May 2023, Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Chief of the Cabinet of the Director General of the National Széchényi Library, participated at the 22nd Professional Seminar on Library Trends 2023 – TLib 2023: seminar for librarians and information specialists in the V4 countries, held in Banská Bystrica, at the Slovak State Scientific Library.

At the event, Judit Gerencsér presented the new library initiatives and developments of the National Széchényi Library, entitled innovations for users in the 21st century. Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski gave a professional presentation on the new exhibition innovations of the national library in the past year under the title “Modern exhibition tools in library spaces”.

The professional meeting was an excellent opportunity to get an insight into the current library projects in the V4 countries and the current professional issues of the “Visegrad libraries”. Summing up the experience, it can be stated that the conference participation and the discussion of professional cooperation opportunities are of great importance for the further strengthening of international relations in the field of librarianship and librarian associations in the V4.

The staff of the national library participated in the international event at the invitation of the State Scientific Library. The professional conference was supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
