National Libraries on their ways to sustainability

The CENL Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 19 – 20 June 2023 at the National Library of France / Bibliothèque nationale de France.

The conference was entirely dedicated only to the important topic of sustainability. And with two keynote speakers – Guillaume Lafortune (Director of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network Paris) and Harri Sahavirta (Chair of IFLA ENSULIB) – we had the perfect start and impetus for a successful AGM.

The AGM is CENL‘s most important and intensive joint activity serving all members. We would like to thank our members for attending and hope they enjoyed the meeting and were inspired by the discussions and exchanges on the various aspects of sustainability which is more than just saving electricity and taking care for plants.

All the presentations will be uploaded onto the website. Members are encouraged to visit the Members’ area of the website regularly – and to tell their staff that they can register for the Members’ area if they use their official library’s email address.

And while we are still in the post-processing of this year’s AGM, we can already announce that the next AGM will be held at the National Library of Poland in Warsaw from 16 to 18 June 2024.
