Danube collections in CENL libraries

In 2019, the Austrian National Library received an Erland Kolding Nielsen Grant, dedicated to Danube collections in CENL libraries. Due to the Covid pandemic the format was changed to online webinars and to the creation of a virtual exhibition in collaboration with the Europeana Foundation.

In two Webinars held in October and November 2020 CENL members from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine shared knowledge on their Danube Collections and collaborated in the creation of the Europeana exhibition “The Danube: connecting Europe” (https://www.europeana.eu/de/exhibitions/the-danube-connecting-europe).

The exhibition was launched in Spring 2021 and, promoted by CENL, Europeana and the Austrian National Library, attractsvisitors across Europe and worldwide.
