Gaining perspective on the Finnish Winter and Continuation Wars through digitised warfront newspapers

Warfront papers were newspapers for soldiers on the front, published both by official communication companies and by the soldiers themselves. The National Library of Finland has, together with the library of the Finnish National Defence University, digitised a total of 144 Finnish warfront papers from 1939–1945. The papers have been made available as a separate collection on the National Library’s Digital Collections website digi.kansalliskirjasto.fi. Digitised papers published up until the end of 1939 are freely available to the public, while more recent papers are available for research purposes.
