2024 EKN grantees announced

The annual Erland Kolding Nielsen Grant awards up to €5,000 to CENL member library projects that promote international collaboration and strengthen bonds between CENL libraries. In 2024, the call for applications closed on 20 March.

In its meeting on 28 March, the CENL Executive Committee reviewed all of the received submissions and awarded three grants. We are delighted to announce that the following applications were successful:

Bulgaria –  The project „Cross-Border Collaboration for European Cultural Heritage Preservation and Sustainable Development of Library Services“ will encompass a 3-day exchange program hosted at the National and University Library in Zagreb, accommodating five delegates from the National Library of Bulgaria.

Georgia – The project comprises a working conference with colleagues of the National Libraries of Georgia and Estonia with various activities. Matters of the conference are modernization of the library and implementation of modern, practical and easy to use library services.

Moldova –  The project consists of a study visit of four specialists from the National Library of Moldova to the National Library of Lithuania, focussing on international relations, project management, developing new services, using informational resources and innovations of the National Library of Lithuania and others.
